* Standard camp fees are $250 + HST per week. On Broadway and Rock Legends have higher fees because they are two week camps. Week one of On Broadway and Itty Bitty Broadway is reduced by one day due to Canada Day closure on Mon Jul 1st. Shooting Stars is reduced by one day due to Civic Day closure on Mon Aug 5th. All fees include a credit card processing fee of 2.9% + $0.30. There is a one-time $25 registration fee due on submission of registration form.
† Before and after care are available for all camps. Before care runs 8am-9am and after care runs 4pm-5pm. This service costs $10 per session, per day. You will be able to book this service when you fill out the camp registration form. You can also add this service closer to the start of camp if preferred.
Camp CBY is made up of numerous sessions, all with a different theme tailored to specific interests or age groups. While Camp CBY is a performing arts camp overall, we explore the many different facets of that. That includes everything from our Broadway sessions, where campers learn popular numbers from famous musicals, to our Disney themed sessions, where students immerse themselves in songs and dances from the Magical Kingdom. We have a Hollywood week, where musical movies are the point of focus and a very popular rock band session, where students learn to play various rock band instruments, write songs and jam as a band.
Even where the themes are similar, ie the junior Broadway weeks, the content is varied so that returning campers can have unique experiences all summer
Think of Camp CBY as the theatre venue, with each camp session a different theatre inside that venue, offering a slightly different performing arts experience.
Camp fees are collected in full at the time of registration. The final step of the registration form features a secure payment checkout.
If you need to cancel your registration, then our refund policy is as such:
Our camp sessions “On Broadway” and “Rock Legends” are two weeks in length. We highly recommend that campers who register for either of these sessions do so for the full two week period. This is so they can benefit from the range of activities and training that will be spread out over this period. Not only this, but campers in these sessions work towards a final performance at the end of the two week period, and as such, each camper will have an important role to play as the team develops.
However, in some cases, we can allow a camper to register for the first week of the two week session only. If you can only do the second week of the two week session, then the camper may not be able to take part in the final performance.
Please contact us directly to discuss this before registering, as we will need to approve these requests in balance with our waiting list requests.
In the scenario where you need to cancel your Camp CBY registration, you can give your spot to another child if you wish. This is something that you arrange privately with the other family. We do not facilitate this transfer.
However, we do need to know asap if you transfer your camp spot to another person. Please contact us with the details of the transfer once it is confirmed. We will require the parent who is receiving the camp spot to complete a registration form so our camp records are up to date.
No, campers are required to bring a packed lunch each day, as well as a water bottle. Lunchtimes are spent outdoors. School rules apply to camper lunches (i.e., nut free).
Yes, Camp CBY has both before and after care options.
Our before care operates 8am-9am Mon-Fri and our after care operates 4pm-5pm Mon-Fri (core camp hours are 9am-4pm).
This service costs as additional $10 per day, per student. So, if you book a single child for either before or after care, it will cost $10 per day. If you book a single child for both before care and after care, it will cost an additional $20 per day.
You can book this service during registration.
If, at the time of registration, you do not know if you require this service, you can add it at a later date.
Page one of the Camp CBY registration form is for parent/guardian information. You are required to provide your information as the lead parent, the information of a second parent / guardian AND an additional person who is authorized for picking up your child also. That gives us three authorized adults that can pick up your child at the end of camp.
If you are unable to pick up your child on time, please delegate this responsibility to one of the other names listed on your registration. If their name is on your registration form, our staff will allow your child to leave with them.
If an adult tries to pick up your child who isn’t listed on your registration form, we will deny pick up until we get authorization from you. If you provide this authorization prior to the end of camp, we will allow pick up.
In short, if a situation arises where none of you listed authorized adults can pick up your child, just let us know and we’ll accommodate whatever plan you put in place.
Early drop-offs and late pickups beyond 10 minutes of the scheduled start and end time of the camp will incur the $10 before or after care fee so we can properly compensate our staff.
We are honoured to perform on the traditional territory of the Haudenosaunee, Anishinabewaki, Neutral and Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation Peoples. Beneath our feet and all around us are the spirits of those who have come before, who have stewarded this land and have felt the intense burden of a colonial presence. We honour their artistic traditions as we present to you our own today.
